Richard
Favara has years of experience in IT and Information Management,
including both hands-on and management level projects. He has
managed up to 75 people, which included support and help desk,
programming, website development, art direction and design,
marketing and sales, analysis, alpha and beta testing, problem
solving, debugging, trouble shooting, asset management, P&L and cost
saving network design. The titles Mr. Favara has held include
technician, systems manager, MIS director, public relations, art
director, CIO, CTO and president.
Mr. Favara's background in networking includes LAN and WAN, 10 to
1000 NICs, switches and hubs, as well as wireless LAN and wireless
tower radios (900MHz, 2.4GHz, 3.5GHz, 5.3GHz and 5.8Ghz), as well as
designing, mapping and testing the tower point locations and
frequencies.
Mr. Favara's years of experience in design, installation,
configuration, maintenance and training of Microsoft’s products
since DOS 2.0 makes him extremely qualified in this field. He has
been a Microsoft Solution Provider since the program’s inception in
1990 and has recently become experienced in VoIP phone/computer
system design and implementation.
Mr. Favara is a member of many computer, Internet, webmaster and
photographic associations. He also is past board member of The
Microsoft Solution Provider Association, CompTIA (Computer Industry
Association), United Education Institute (UEI) and others.
Mr. Favara continues to build liaisons with many major computer,
photographic and other high tech companies. The list includes
Microsoft Corporate, Intel, Cisco, Tandberg/Inostor, Acer,
HP/Compaq, BrookTrout, Executive Software, Samsung, ViewSonic,
Belden Wire, Trango W\ireless, Bay Networks, Dell, Epson, Canon,
Gateway, New Horizons, VERITAS and many others.
Mr. Favara has a long history of beta testing software and hardware
for many of the above- mentioned companies. In addition, Mr. Favara
conducted studies and analysis for feasibility, technical
recommendations, software and hardware upgrading, or conversion to
other methods or systems. These studies were requested to enhance
and increase productivity, lessen asset management, and increase ROI
for their company or division.
Born in New York City, Mr. Favara makes his home in Southern
California with his wife, Annette, (a native of the United Kingdom)
and their three daughters. His hobbies include still photography,
western horseback riding, SCUBA, mountain climbing and of course,
computers.
Feeling the need to give back to the community, Mr. Favara has
designed a method in which K12 schools are able to receive computers
and technology at no cost. Further, Mr. Favara is a volunteer to the
Los Angeles Veterans Administration and has donated time to help
with many software user problems, demonstrating timesaving methods
to complete their tasks. Also, having 40-plus years of photographic
experience, he has assisted GLA by conducting photojournalistic
photo shoots. |
